Abdulla Baqer is the Regional Director – Middle East and Eurasia, International Offices Department at Dubai International Chamber. He manages a network of representative offices across the Middle East and Eurasia that implement the chamber’s strategy across target markets within the region. In his current role, Abdulla works to attract foreign companies and investors to Dubai by promoting the emirate as a preferred global business hub at international events and trade missions. He also focuses the efforts of the representative offices to identify business opportunities and support Dubai-based companies with their entry into global markets. Abdulla has 20 years' experience in public policy, He worked with private and government where he managed domestic and international investment holdings, promoted foreign direct investment, initiated joint ventures across the healthcare, financial services and infrastructure sectors. Often featured in national publications, he is amongst the most vocal advocates for regional integration and the promotion of the UAE as a global financial centre and business hub.
